Chaman border to remain open for 8 hours

Sardar Muhammad Khnodai:

Pakistan has decided to extend the opening duration at the Pak-Afghan border Chaman border for 8 hours. The government is pleased to order the extension of border timing for pedestrian movement on the National Identity Card (NIC) and Tazkeera, a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Chaman said.

Pakistan has extended the opening duration after the Afghan Taliban closed the border a few days back. Haji Wafa, the Taliban’s border commander had asked the Pakistan government to give relief to Afghans at the border. As earlier, Afghans should be allowed to cross the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Mr. Wafa demanded.

The border remained closed for few days. However, on August 10th, the DC Chaman has issued a notification extending the timing for pedetrians.
