A local court in Quetta has ordered the release of 75 students on Saturday morning. Police had arrested 75 students for inflicting damages to public property and entering the Red Zone housing Chief Minister’s Secretariat and Governor’s House. Judicial Magistrate Abdul Sattar Bugti accepted the bail application and ordered the release of students.

“The court has accepted the bail application of students”, court sources told Quetta Voice. Police had booked the students during the ongoing protest demonstrations against the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC). Students from various districts of Balochistan have demanded of the provincial government to take up the issue with the Federal Government and PMC and cancel the process on ongoing tests. Qari Rehmatullah Advocate, Asif Baloch Advocate, Shoaib Aman Sumalani Advocate and others appeared on behalf of students.

Students to be released today

“Students would be released after completion of necessary official procedures”, court sources mentioned. Police had shifted the arrested students to the Civil Line Police Station.
