34 MPAs taken refuge at the residence of the speaker: Zahoor Buledi

QUETTA: Acting president of his own faction of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Mir Zahoor Buledi on Thursday said 34 members from the ruling party and opposition have taken refuge at the residence of speaker Qudoos Bizenjo.

Mr. Buledi took to Twitter and made this claim four days prior to voting on the no-confidence motion against CM Balochistan. The BAP disgruntled members and opposition have accused CM Jam Kamal of kidnapping four members on the eve of tabling the no-confidence motion on October 20th.

The BAP acting president has demanded of the inpsector general of police to ensure the recovery of the missing lawmakers of the assembly. The members include former adviser to CM on fisheries, Akbar Askani, Bushra Rind, Mahjabeen Sheran, and Laila Tareen.

Jam Kamal rejects the opposition’s claims

CM Jam Kamal has strongly rejected the opposition’s claim and termed it a lie. The CM also took to  Twitter and said it is such a pity and PDM allegations that BAP women are missing. Quoting a tweet of the missing Bushra Rind, the CM said this is an answer to their lies and allegations.

War of words intensified between the BAP’s ruling lawmakers and the angry members. Home Minister Balochistan, Ziaullah Langove in a statement stated that opposition should not hide its defeat the slogan of the kidnapping of women. “We respect women and we have no role in this regard”, Mr. Langove said.

Zahoor Buledi notified as a parliamentary leader in Balochistan Assembly

In another upset for the incumbent CM, the BAP acting president Zahoor Buledi was also declared as the parliamentary leader of the party. “Buledi declared parliamentary leader after receiving written application of 12 members of the party”, a notification signed by the secretary Balochistan Assembly said on Thursday evening.

Speaker BA has convened the session on Octobe 25 at 11 am for voting about the no-confidence motion against CM Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan. 33 votes are required for the election and removal of leader of the house in Balochistan Assembly. The number of legislators in the assembly is 65 currently.
