PDM protests in Quetta against inflation and poverty

QUETTA: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) staged a protest meeting against inflation and rising prices of commodities as part of anti-government’s countrywide protest. Central Vice President of PDM, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, former Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr. Malik Baloch, Dr. Jehanzaib Jamaldini of Balochistan National Party (BNP), Jamal Shah Kakar of PML (N), and other leaders addressed the protesting meeting at Bacha Khan Chowk Quetta.

“Our protest will continue till the removal of the present government”, Mehmood Achakzai told the flags-waving supporters of the anti-government alliance. He lashed out at the present government for what he claimed its failure to address the issues of the masses.

PDM supporters chanted full-throated slogans

The PDM supporters chanted full-throated slogans against the present government and demanded relief for the common man. They demanded of the Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) government to step down.

“Increasing prices have paralyzed the lives of common people”, Dr. Malik Baloch, the Chief of National Party (NP) told the protest meeting. He said all democratic forces should put their heads together to remove the present rulers.

Dr. Jehanzaib Jamaldini in his address strongly criticized the present government and said that rulers have always ignored the masses of Balochistan. He said his party would extend all possible support to the PDM in its struggle against the present rulers.
