Dr. Malik Baloch President, Jan Buledi elected GS National Party

QUETTA: Former Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr. Malik Baloch was elected as the President of the National Party (NP) unopposed. Jan Muhammad Buledi was elected as the General Secretary of the NP on Sunday. Kabir Muhammad Shahi was elected as senior vice-president of the NP.

“Over 800 councilors participated in the NP elections”, Waleed Bizenjo, a leader of the party told Quetta Voice via telephone. He said the congress remained continued for three days to elect the new office-bearers.

The sixth national congress of the NP in memory of Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo was held in Quetta. Delegates from Quetta and various parts of the country participated in the congress. Authors, intellectuals, politicians, writers shed light on the political struggle of Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo.

They paid rich tribute to Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo for his struggle for democracy, rule of law, and supremacy of parliament and constitution in the country.

During the congress, intra-party elections were held. As per the results, Dr. Malik Baloch and Jan Muhammad Buledi were elected as the President and General Secretary of the party.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo has congratulated the newly elected President of NP Dr. Malik Baloch and General Secretary, Mir Jan Muhammad Buledi. In a statement issued to the press, Mr. Bizenjo expressed the hope that the new NP leadership would play their due role for Balochistan and Pakistan.
