A coal miner dies because of landsliding in Dukki

A coal miner died because of a landslide in Balochistan’s Dukki district on Thursday. Levies sources said the coal miner was working deep inside the mine when hit by a landslide. Rescue workers retrieved the dead body of the miner.

The dead body was shifted to the district headquarters hospital Dukki for postmortem. The cola miner was identified as Rehmatullah, a resident of Balochistan’s Killa Saifullah district.

Hazardous working conditions inside coal mines of Balochistan have claimed thousands of precious human lives. Poor safety conditions are the main reason behind increasing incidents inside coal mines.

Dukki houses rich-coal reservoirs and daily hundreds of trucks loaded with coal move to various parts of the country from the area.
