Interests of people of Balochistan first in Reko Diq decision: CM Bizenjo

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo has assured that the interests of the people of the province come first in a decision about the Reko Diq. He expressed these views while addressing a function with regard to the distribution of orders among the newly appointed teachers under the GPE program on Tuesday.
“People of Balochistan come first in all decisions”, Mr. Bizenjo clarified. He said decisions regarding the multi-billion dollars Reko Diq and Saindak project would be made in line with the interests of the people of Balochistan.
CM’s comments have come after joint opposition in Balochistan Assembly had expressed serious concern about the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) about the multi-billion dollars gold and copper project. Balochistan National Party (Mengal) and Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam (F) had expressed concern about the reported signing of MoU by the CM Balochistan.
Although, no MoU has been signed so far.
