Balochistan Police: DSP Mureed Bugti sacked over corruption charges

QUETTA: The Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir Rai has sacked the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mureed Bugti on corruption charges. Bugti was currently serving as the DSP Panjgur, sources in the IG Police officials said.

Sources mentioned that the accused DSP had taken bribery from a subordinate to prove his innocence in a case. However, the inquiry report proved DSP’s involvement in getting bribery from the subordinate official.

The IG P Muhammad Tahir Rai terminated the DSP. Since assuming the charge of the police chief, the IGP has taken action against corrupt and incompetent officers across Balochistan.
