Sana Baloch was absent from Reko Diq in-camera session

Balochistan National Party (BNP) lawmaker and a vocal legislator about issues relating to the province, Sanaullah Baloch was absent from the Reko Diq in-camera session on Monday. The house spoke at length about the proposed agreement about the multi-billion dollar gold and copper project.
However, Mr. Baloch was absent during the in-camera session. Although, his other party colleagues were present and put critical questions before the concerned quarters in the session.
This daily tried to speak to Mr. Balochi to get his point of view about the Reko Diq and his absence. However, his phone was going off. A statement quoting Sanaullah Baloch was shared on social media. As per the statement, Mr. Baloch said he had asked the Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali to convene the session on one week’s notice. The session was convened on one day’s notice, he mentioned. “I am abroad for a check-up”, the BNP leader stated.
42 out of a total of 65 lawmakers participated in the in-camera session of the Balochistan Assembly.
Former Chief Minister, Nawab Aslam Raisani was also absent during the session. Later in the evening, a statement quoting Nawab Raisani was issued, which opposed what he called selling of Reko Diq project.
