Landslide kills 2 coal miners in Chamalang Dukki

A landslide has killed 2 coal miners in Balochistan’s Dukki district on Saturday morning. Levies sources said the incident happened in the Chamalang area of the Dukki district. The coal miners were working deep inside the coal mine when a landslide hit them.

Both coal miners were dead at the spot. Local miners working in nearby mines and rescue workers retrieved the dead bodies from the mine and shifted them to district headquarters hospital Dukki. Levies informed that the dead miners were identified as Ghulam Qadir and Shadi Khan.

Hazardous working conditions have claimed thousands of precious human lives of coal miners in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. Such incidents have become almost the order of the day in Balochistan in general and Dukki in particular.
