BRA Achieves 40% Growth Amid Economic Challenges in FY 2023-24: Noor Ul Haq Baloch

PMC to conduct post-graduate inspection of 15 hospitals of Balochistan

Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has decided to conduct post-graduate inspections of 15 government-run hospitals of Balochistan. “This is a positive stride towards the development of health education in Balochistan”, Noor ul Haq Baloch, Secretary Health Balochistan said.

15 government-run hospitals would be given postgraduate status by the PMC, Mr. Baloch mentioned. When asked about launching the inspection, the Secretary informed that it would be launched in the third week of this January.

The health department government of Balochistan has decided to bring reforms in the health sector and make sure provision of quality health facilities to the masses. District Teaching Hospitals of Zhob, Chaman, Panjgur, Loralai, Turbat, Khuzdar and Hub are being inspected in the province.

QUETTA

Sheikh Zahid Hospital, CINAR Hospital, Institute of Child Health, Institute of Psychiatry, Institute of Chest, Institute of Eye, Institute of Nephrology and Urology, and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Hospital would also be inspected, Mr. Baloch mentioned.

The number of doctors in these hospitals will not only increase after getting the status of Post Graduate Hospital, Secretary noted. There will also be more posts for postgraduate and house officer doctors. This will enable doctors across Balochistan to receive postgraduate training, Balochistan Health Secretary Noorul Haq Baloch stated.

On the other hand, modern medical facilities will be available to the people in their nearest hospitals besides Quetta. This will reduce the need for them to come to Quetta and will also reduce the burden of hospitals located in the provincial capital.
