QUETTA: Balochistan Provincial Minister Haji Ali Madad Jattak has strongly reacted to recent statements made by Nawab Muhammad Mir Ali Bugti, dismissing them as contrary to facts, a product of political desperation, and fueled by “Sardari arrogance.”
In a press statement, Jattak accused Bugti of trying to gain cheap popularity by leveling baseless allegations against the democratic provincial government and the Chief Minister of Balochistan.
”Two Decades of Absence”
Launching a scathing critique, Haji Ali Madad Jattak labeled Nawab Mir Ali Bugti as “highly incompetent,” pointing out that he has allegedly not even visited his ancestral area of Dera Bugti in the last 22 years.
”A person who has not stood by his own tribe or the people of his region during their times of grief and joy has no moral authority to criticize others,” Jattak remarked.
A Clash of Politics and Tradition
The minister emphasized that the provincial government remains fully committed to the development of Balochistan and will not be distracted by the personal grievances of feudal figures. Analysts view this sharp exchange as a reflection of the ongoing tension between Balochistan’s traditional tribal elite (the Sardari system) and the mainstream democratic leadership representing the province.
No official response has been issued by Nawab Mir Ali Bugti’s spokesperson regarding the minister’s remarks.
