Bomb attack in Jaffarabad leaves 17 including 2 policemen injured

A bomb attack in Balochistan’s Jaffarabad district has left 17 people including 2 policemen injured on Sunday evening. Police sources said unknown miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at policemen on Dera Allah Yar-Sohbat Pur road.
As a result of the attack, 17 people were injured. Two policemen were also among the injured, police said. Rescue workers and policemen were quick at the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

An emergency was imposed in the hospital to provide medical treatment to the injured of the blast. The attackers escaped unhurt from the spot. Police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.
Security was tightened in and around the district in the aftermath of the attack.
Speaker Balochistan Assembly condemns the attack
Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali has strongly condemned the attack. In a statement issued after the attack, Mr. Jamali said the perpetrators of the attack would be brought to justice. He directed the concerned authorities to make sure the arrest of the culprits behind the attack.
