Governor Balochistan Zahoor Agha resigns

QUETTA: Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha has said that security forces have foiled the nefarious designs of enemies in the province. “Our forces embraced martyrdom in Noshki and Panjgur and foiled the enemy’s designs”, Mr. Agha told Quetta Voice on Sunday evening.

Syed Zahoor Agha said frontier corps (FC) and other law enforcement agencies personnel bravely repulsed terrorist attacks in Balochistan’s Noshki and Panjgur districts. Governor’s statement has come a day after the military’s media wing said the clearance operation was completed and 20 terrorists have been killed.

“Masses of Balochistan standby the security forces in their fight against the terrorists”, the Governor said. He said the present government has decided to remove the sense of deprivation among the people of Balochistan. For this purpose, development projects worth billions of rupees were launched to create job opportunities and improve the living standard of the masses, the Governor mentioned.

Syed Zahoor Agha said it was the responsibility of every citizen to play his or her role in the prosperity and development of the country and nation. “We have to speak against the terrorists playing with the lives of innocent people”, he added.

Governor Balochistan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed all federal departments and the provincial government to make sure to address the grievances of the masses. He said for the first time in the history of the country, massive development projects were underway in Balochistan.
