UNICEF provides winter clothes to Afghan refugees children in Quetta

United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has provided winter clothes to Afghan refugees children in Quetta’s Ferozabad area the other day. A report by this daily prompted the UN agency to support the Afghan refugees’ children who were in desperate need of support a few days back.

The refugee population residing in urban slums, periphery, and rural areas of Balochistan are facing additional challenges. The refugees remained an additional burden on host communities affecting the existing structures.

Winter clothes distributed among Afghan children

“We have distributed winter clothes among the Afghan refugee children Ferozabad area of Quetta”, a UNICEF official told Quetta Voice. He requested anonymity since he was not authorized to speak to the media.

Children till the age of seven years were provided warm winter clothes, the official mentioned. This daily had reported that Afghan refugee children in Ferozabad located in the South-Western outskirt of Quetta were exposed to chilly weather and were in desperate need of support.
