No confidence motion against PM: Nawaz and Maulana discuss strategy

Former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif and the Chief of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Maulana Fazal ur Rehman have discussed the strategy regarding the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“The two leaders held a telephonic conversation regarding the vote of no confidence”, sources within the anti-government alliance said. Maulana Fazal ur Rehman apprised the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Chief about the progress made about tabling the no-confidence motion.

PDM chief has held a series of meetings with opposition political parties regarding tabling of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan recently. Syed Khursheed Shah, the central leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) also reached Islamabad, the federal capital for important consultations with opposition parties.

PPP Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has sent Khursheed Shah for important meetings to the federal capital. On the other hand, the ruling Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) has also stepped up its efforts to fail the no-confidence motion. “This is a failed move on the part of the opposition”, Fawad Chaudhary, the federal information minister told a news conference in Islamabad.
