KOHLU: A landmine explosion has killed a minor boy in Balochistan’s Barkhan district on Friday morning. Levies sources said the bomb went off in Jagan area of Barkhan. The boy was walking on the road and stepped over the landmine.

The minor boy was killed on the spot. The dead body was shifted to the district headquarters hospital Barkah for postmortem. Levies personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.

After the incident, the relatives of the minor boy brought the dead body on the road and staged a protest demonstration. The protesters were demanding the arrest of the culprits involved in planting landmine explosions in the area.

Landmine explosions have claimed scores of precious human lives in Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Barkhan, Naseerabad and other parts of Balochistan.
