QUETTA: Founder of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Senator Saeed Ahmed Hashmi has termed immature politicians responsible for creating a political and economic crisis in Pakistan. “Politicians have to exercise wisdom and political vision”, Senator Hashmi told reporters on Tuesday.

Hashmi’s BAP has recently parted its ways with Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad. Its five members of the national assembly have thrown their weight behind the joint opposition regarding the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“Culture of tolerance should be promoted in politics”, the BAP founder said. He lamented that it was irony of fate that currently the politics of hatred was being promoted by some immature politicians.

Senator Hashmi however, criticized his old political ally, the Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) for adopting uncivilized behavior in the aftermath of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. “Submitting no-confidence motion against PM was the democratic right of opposition”, he said.

The seasoned politician further stated that loyalty to the nation requires that the no-confidence motion be dealt with in a civilized and democratic manner, by annulling the speaker’s rolling without trying any further delay tactics so that not only the political uncertainty and fears of a serious national conflict in the country can be eliminated.
