Director Admin helper eye hospital Quetta was sacked from his job for harassing a female nurse. “The accused has also been fined for Rs. 3 lakh”, Sabira Islam, the Women Ombudsman Balochistan said. She said the accused had deliberately stopped the salary of the victim for one year. Subsequently, the victim nurse approached the woman’s ombudsman office to get a remedy.

An investigation found the director admin guilty

The director of the provincial ombudsman’s office, was later found guilty, on which female ombudsman Sabra Islam ordered the removal of the officer involved and ordered a fine of Rs 300,000. On this occasion, the victim thanked the provincial female ombudsman for providing justice. Woman ombudsman Sabira Islam said that harassment is a serious crime punishable, no matter how influential one is, it is not above the law.

Elements involved in harassment cannot be spared

Harassment or the elements involved in aiding and abetting this crime are unforgivable. Authorities of the provincial government and heads of all institutions should take strict disciplinary action against those involved in or involved in this moral crime and not hold such persons in such key positions.

Meanwhile, civil society organizations, including the Women’s Foundation, appreciated the decision of the provincial female ombudsman and appealed to the appellate authority to reject the appeals of the accused involved and uphold the decisions based on justice.
