ISLAMABAD: Well-known religious and political personality, Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani called on former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday. Speaker national assembly Asad Qaiser and others were also present on the occasion.
The two leaders discussed unfolding political events in the country in the aftermath of the removal of Imran Khan as the PM after a no-confidence motion in the national assembly. However, there was no formal statement about the meeting of Maulana Sherani with the former premier.
Maulana Sherani is currently an arch political rival of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazal ur Rehman. Sherani parted his ways with Maulana a few years back over party issues.
