QUETTA: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan chaired a high-level meeting, which reviewed a foolproof security plan for the Yome-e-Ali in the provincial capital. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Syed Fida Hassan Shah, DIG Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Jawad Qamar, DIG Headquarters, Jawad Dogar, AIG IT Abdul Hayee Baloch and other high-level police officers participated in the meeting.

The meeting decided to deploy police, Balochistan Constabulary and personnel of frontier corps on procession routes in the city. All shops and business centers located in the way of the procession would be sealed off.

The procession of the Youm-e-Ali would also be monitored from control through CCTV cameras. “All arrangements have been completed”, DIG Police Quetta, Syed Fida Hassan Shah told the meeting. He stated that streets and roads on the procession route would also be sealed to avoid the occurrence of any untoward incident.

Special directives have also been issued for the traffic police to make sure smooth flow of the traffic during the Youm-e-Ali procession.
