Divisional, district committees to improve governance: CM Balochistan

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo termed the formation of provincial, divisional and district committees imperative for improving the governance in the province. The provincial government has established committees on division and district levels to improve governance and address the grievances of the masses across the province. Mr. Bizenjo chaired an inaugural meeting of division review committees at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Thursday.

Commander 12-Corps, Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali, Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langove, Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Balochistan, Hashim Ghilzai and other high ups participated in the meeting.

The Inspector-General  Frontier Corps (South), and divisional commissioners participated in the meeting through video link. ACS (Home), Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai thoroughly briefed the meeting about the establishment of divisional committees and their impacts on improving governance and addressing the grievances of the masses.

“Major reason behind the formation of committees is to address the issues of the masses timely”, Quddus Bizenjo told the meeting. He noted that the masses were facing difficulties because of a lack of coordination among the government departments.

Commander 12-Corps termed the participation of masses in the development process important for the development of country and nation. He said the masses play a very important role in the maintaining law and order situation in the province.

Good service delivery, partnership-based development initiatives and maintaining law and order in the province will be achieved through review committees. The meeting discussed education, health, clean drinking water, law and order and other issues pertaining to Balochistan. The meeting decided to strengthen the divisional committees to pave the way for an immediate solution to masses issues.
