Bizenjo asks PM to expedite work on border markets with Iran

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo has asked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to expedite the pace of work on the establishment of border markets/trade points with neighboring Iran.

The CM held one on one meeting with the Premier and discussed issues relating to Balochistan during his maiden visit. Mr. Bizenjo also briefed the Prime Minister about the overall law and order situation and development projects in the province.

CM Balochistan demanded of the Prime Minister to announce a special relief package for the people living in bordering areas. “Until normalization of trade, relief should be given to the people”, Mr. Bizenjo suggested.

He informed the PM that the provincial government has taken effective steps against illegal trawling and currently there was no illegal fishing in Gwadar and the coastal belt.

Mr. Bizenjo informed that his government has made decisions about 200 important issues and adopted 18 bills during the last five months. He reiterated that the completion of ongoing development projects including the dualization of the Quetta-Karachi highway would open new vistas of development and prosperity in the province.
