Former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif is expected to return to Pakistan soon as the interior ministry issued his passport on Monday. The former premier is currently in London.

Sources within the interior ministry revealed that the former premier has been issued a passport for 10 years. This development has come after the formation of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) led coalition government in the country.

Shehbaz Sharif, the younger brother of Mr. Sharif is currently the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The mainstream opposition party, the Pakistan Tehrike Insaf (PTI) has criticized the government for issuing what it called a passport to an accused wanted in corruption cases.
