Blast near Customs Intelligence office Quetta, one injured

A blast has injured one person inside the Customs Intelligence office in Quetta. Abdul Haq Umrani, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Quetta said the blast rocked the Customs office. “We are investigating the nature of the blast”, Mr. Umrani said. The record of thousands of vehicles and cases was also burnt because of the fire that erupted in the aftermath of the blast. “Record of thousands of vehicles burnt in the incident”, an official of the Customs told Quetta Voice. He requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.

The injured person was rushed to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. Police and personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. “Three men entered inside the Customs intelligence office”, the watchman of the office said. He said there was a blast inside the office after that. Eyewitnesses also confirmed the blast inside the customs office.
