QUETTA: Senior lawyer, Syed Ayaz Zahoor Advocate has narrowly escaped an armed attack in the city on Friday. Police sources said the senior lawyer was going along with his driver when the armed accused opened fire at his vehicle.

The senior lawyer narrowly escaped the attack and was unhurt during the attack in Quetta’s Zarghoon Road area. The attackers escaped unhurt from the spot. Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.

Members of the legal fraternity strongly condemned the attack and urged the government to arrest the culprits behind the attack. In a statement, the Balochistan High Court Bar Association (BHCBA) announced a boycott of courts on Saturday (Tomorrow) in protest over the incident.

The BHCBA statement lamented that the government had failed to protect the lives of the members of the legal fraternity in the province.
