Accused convicted to 7 year RI in a child rape case in Quetta

A court in Quetta convicted an accused to seven-year rigorous imprisonment in a child rape case on Tuesday. District and Session Judge Quetta, Dawood Khan Nasar convicted the accused Ramazan alias Maghal to seven-year RI and a fine of Rs.1,00000 for subjecting a six-year-old minor child to sexual abuse.

According to the prosecution, the accused had subjected the minor to sexual abuse on June 26, 2021, in Killi Char Gul Kuchlak. Police had registered a case against the accused on an application of the victim’s parents.

Police had submitted challan in the court and the arguments were completed by lawyers the other day. The court had reserved the judgment.

Announcing the judgment, Judge Dawood Khan Nasar said that the accused had to spend an additional one and half years in the case of non-payment of the fine amount. Police shifted the accused to the district jail in Quetta after the judge announced the judgment.
