Cholera claims lives of 2 minor girls in Dukki, 1500 infected

KOHLU: Cholera outbreak in Balochistan’s Barkhan district has claimed three lives including two children on Friday. Deputy Commissioner Barkhan, Abdullah Khosa two children and a woman died because of cholera in the union council Vatakri area of the district.

Soon after receiving the news of the cholera outbreak, the health department’s team reached the affected village and established an emergency medical camp to provide medical treatment to the patients, Mr. Khosa said.

The DC informed that a total of 40 people from 15 families were affected by the outbreak of cholera. The administration has provided clean drinking water and other necessary medicines to the affected people, he mentioned.

This incident has come almost a month after cholera outbreak precious human lives in Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district. The outbreak of cholera had severely affected lives in the Pir Koh area of the district.
