At least five people lost their lives and three were seriously injured when their vehicle was swept away in floods in Balochistan’s Sibi district on Sunday. Women and children are also among the victims, Levies sources said.
Sibi and surrounding areas have received torrential rains within the last 24 hours. Heavy rainfall has severely affected life in the district. The victims were going to go to Ku Mandai, a sub-tehsil in the Sibi district when the incident happened.
Local residents of the area reached the spot and rescued three people in an injured condition. However, the dead bodies were retrieved after two hours of hectic efforts by the locals and levies force.
