QUETTA: Eid holidays of all health professionals in Balochistan were canceled after heavy rainfall. Flash floods and rainfall played havoc in Quetta and other parts of the province.

“Eid holidays of all health professionals have been canceled”, a notification issued by the health department Balochistan said. The department has directed all doctors and paramedics to ensure their presence in hospitals to cope with any emergency situation.

The Balochistan government has also declared an emergency in all government-run hospitals across the province. Over 50 injured in rains-related incidents were admitted to various hospitals in the province. “Most of the injured admitted to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment”, Saleh Muhammad Nasar, the Secretary of Health Balochistan said.

Mr. Nasar said all district health officers in the rains-affected districts have been directed to personally monitor the rain situation and improve health conditions in health hospitals.
