A 17-year old girl allegedly raped in Quetta

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Quetta, police said. Police registered a first information report (FIR) against the accused for subjecting the girl to sexual abuse, a senior police official told this scribe. He requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

He informed the girl has been sent to the hospital for a medical check-up. After a medical check-up, police would submit a challan before the court of law, the officer mentioned. Police sources said the accused had established a friendship with the girl through a mobile phone a week ago.

“We are close to arresting the culprit involved in the incident”, the police officer said.

The accused had subjected the girl to sexual abuse in his vehicle, police official quoted the victim’s statement. The girl claimed the accused raped her in Samungli Road Park after roaming the vehicle.
