Qasim Sori vows to face treason case

QUETTA: Former Deputy Speaker of National Assembly, Qasim Sori has vowed to face any treason case in the aftermath of unfolding political events in the populous province Punjab. Addressing party workers in Quetta on Saturday, Mr. Sori said the rulers were frightened of PTI and its allies and were making illegal cases against the opposition.

“PTI leaders not frightened of the government and ready to face all kinds of cases”, the former deputy speaker of the national assembly said. Regarding the Punjab Chief Minister issue, Mr. Sori expressed the hope that justice would be done by the apex court and those promoting horse trading would be discouraged. “Masses stand by PTI and former Prime Minister Imran Khan”, he said.

Masses rejected the ‘imported’ government

When asked about the treason case against him, he reiterated, “I am ready to face every case”. A large number of people belonging to the Hazara community also announced joining the PTI. Addressing the new workers, he said the people have already rejected the imported government and rulers.

“Our struggle against these illegitimate rulers would continue”, he said. The former deputy speaker of the NA urged upon the party workers to forge unity among their ranks and foil the conspiracies of rulers.

Also present on the occasion were the General Secretary of PTI Balochistan, Munir Baloch, Nawabzada Sharif Jogezai, Abdul Bari Baraich, Mobin Khan Khilji, Dawood Panezai, Ms. Munawara Munir, Qurban Gharsheen, Naseebullah, Alam Kakar, Noor Khan Achakzai, Hussain Kakar, Fazal Khan and others.
