MAIZAI ADDAH: Balochistan Minister for Food, Engineer Zamarak Khan Achakzai remained unhurt in an armed attack in the Maizai Addah area of district Killa Abdullah. “Miscreants opened fire at our vehicles”, Mr. Achakzai.

The security guards of Mr. Achakzai quickly retaliated and the attackers fled away from the spot. Levies personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. The security of the minister was tightened in the aftermath of the attack on his convoy. “Despite all threats, I would keep continuing serving my people”, Mr. Achakzai said.

Deputy Commissioner Killa Abdullah, Munir Ahmed Kakar reached the spot and reviewed the security arrangements for the minister. Zamrak Achakzai belongs to the Awami National Party (ANP) and he was elected an MPA on the ticket of the party from district Killa Abdullah.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo took notice of the incident and directed the administration to arrest the culprits involved in the attack. He said none would be allowed to take law into his hands and that the perpetrators of the attack would be brought to justice.

Balochistan Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langove strongly condemned the attack and directed levies and police to step up efforts to arrest the culprits behind the attack. The minister also spoke to Mr. Achakzai and assured full security.
