Flash floods unleashed by torrential rains have swept away various portions of railway tracks between Pakistan and Iran. This has caused the suspension of train service between the two countries.

The flood near Dalbandin washed away the track, due to which 2 goods trains are stuck at Dalbandin station. It should be noted that the flood which occurred after heavy rains in recent days has damaged railway tracks at Ahmedwal, Dalbandin, Yak Mach, and many other places.

After the suspension of the train service, railway officials say that it may take several days to restore the Chagai track. The repair work will be possible after the flood roads are cleared.

On the other hand, movement at the “Bab Dosti” on the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman has been restored for pedestrian traffic from this morning. According to the sources, the movement of passengers is continuing from both sides, and strict security measures have been taken.

It should be clear that the crossing on the Pak-Afghan border was closed 2 days ago due to the flood situation and water entering the border checking system.
