Quetta: Three coal miners are trapped in a coal mine in the Mach area of Balochistan on Monday evening. The miners were trapped in a coal mine filled with poisonous gas.

According to the rescue team, one of the miners was dead while another was found in an unconscious state. The rescue team told Quetta Voice that the search for the rescue of the third miner is going on.

The coal miners demanded of the government and coal mine companies to provide them with the instruments to detect the leakage of these toxic gases.

“Our men are dying on daily basis due to the negligence of the government”, a coal miner, Zanzir Gul said.

Secretary Minerals Balochistan, Noor Ahmad Pirkani expressed condolence on the Mach incident. Mr. Pirkani appointed Syed Rafi Ullah, the Director of Mines and Minerals as an inquiry officer and directed him to find the reason for the incident and point out the responsible people.

The inquiry officer will visit the site and will start his procedure of inquiry. The Secretary directed that the people responsible for the incident will be brought to justice.
