QUETTA: The funeral prayer of Shaheed Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali, the Commander 12 Corps and Shaheed Brigadier Muhammad Khalid was offered on Wednesday. Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Corps Commander Rawalpindi, Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo, acting Governor Balochistan, Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali and other high-level military and civilian officials participated in the funeral prayer. COAS and other high-ranking military officers arrived in Quetta to participate in the funeral of shaheed military officers.

Lt. General Sarfaraz Ali, Brigadier Muhammad Khalid and four other Pakistan Army officers were martyred in a helicopter crash in Balochistan’s Lasbela district.

 

The helicopter was crashed as a result of bad weather conditions in the area, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the residences of Shaheed Lt. General Sarfaraz Ali, and Brigadier Muhammad Khalid. The Army Chief offered fateha for the departed souls and expressed sympathies with the family members of the two martyrs officers of the Pakistan Army.

The Army Chief also visited the residence of Shaheed Lieutenant Colonel, Laiq Baig Mirza and offered fateha for the departed soul.
