The government of Balochistan has announced holidays from August 22nd to August 27 because of the flood situation in all educational institutions. Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo has made this decision in view of the looming threat of rains and flash floods across the province, an official handout issued on Sunday night said.

All private and public schools would remain closed from August 22nd to 27th of August, the handout concluded.

Secretary of Balochistan Higher Education, Hafiz Abdul Majid also announced holidays in higher educational institutions from August 22nd to 27th across the province. In a notification received by Daily Quetta Voice, Mr. Majid stated that the decision has been made on the directives of Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo in view of looming threat of floods and rains in the province.
