Qadir Patel Directs PMC To Conduct MDCAT 2022 on one day

The federal minister for health Abdul Qadir Patel has directed the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) to conduct the Medical and Dental Colleges Entry Test (MDCAT) 2022 in one day. The Federal Minister has paid a surprise visit to PMC headquarters in Islamabad this noon.

MDCAT Delayed Due to Flash Floods:

The PMC had notified delay in MDCAT 2022 in the wake of flash floods countrywide. All of the provinces fell prey to the destruction of Floods caused by torrential rains. Earlier both Balochistan and Sindh health departments had requested PMC to postpone its MDCAT for the safety and security of aspirants.

Changes in PMC Syllabus expected: 
The latest notification by the PMC consisted that the commission may bring some changes in mdcat syllabus and update students regarding it soon.

MDCAT on Provincial or Federal Level:
Today`s visit by the federal minister to the PMC office about one-day MDCAT gives a sign of test on the federal level but according to the past interviews and statements of Abdul Qadir Patel the test would be taken on provincial levels as per their syllabus.

PMC vs PMDC:
It has been two months since the PMC vs PMDC quarrel is going on. However, last month Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif dismissed membership of all council members of PMC and new people were appointed later. Surprisingly two to three weeks ago the Senate Committee for Health passed the PMDC bill and work on the re-establishment of the institution is underway.
