QUETTA: Corps Commander Balochistan, Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor on Tuesday said the education and training of the young generation owed to dedicated and competent teachers. The Commander visited the Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) and met faculty members, administration, and students.

The first command in the holy Qur’an was revealed about knowledge and indeed knowledge is linked with teachers, Lt. Gen. Asif Ghafoor said while addressing the participants of the seminar.

He further said that teachers, especially primary education teachers, have a very important role in the education and training of any nation. A teacher frames the whole society, he added.

“Our young ones should keep themselves away from the narrative of enemies and invest their time for a developed and prosperous Pakistan”, the Corps Commander Balochistan stated.

Corps Commander Balochistan while stressing on the importance of self-accountability commented that as a nation it is our individual and collective responsibility that instead of criticizing criticism, we should be self-accountable and fulfill our national and social responsibility in an auspicious manner.

The Corps Commander emphasized the role of teachers in reducing the growing trend of intolerance in society.
