In a major administrative development, senior bureaucrat Bashir Ahmed Bangulzai has been appointed as the Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT), Balochistan. An official posting notification in this regard was formally issued by the provincial government on Monday.
​Bangulzai succeeds former head Muhammad Ali Kakar, who was previously serving as the Chairman of the high-profile inspection body.

​Divisional Commissioner (including Nasirabad and Sibi divisions)
​Provincial Secretary across key government departments

​The Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) Balochistan serves as the primary watchdog and investigative organ operating directly under the Chief Minister.
​As the principal administrative watchdog in Quetta and across the province, the team is responsible for:
​Investigating Corruption & Misconduct: Conducting detailed inquiries into administrative irregularities, ghost development schemes, and financial corruption cases involving provincial departments.
​Monitoring PSDP Development Projects: Carrying out surprise physical audits and quality assurance on public infrastructure projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
