The President of the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) Dr. Noshad Sheikh has told the media about the new policy of PMC MDCAT 2022. Today a meeting was held at the HEC office in Karachi for finalizing the policy, rules, and criteria of MDCAT 2022.
Following decisions and amendments were made in policy for the medical and dental entrance test (MDCAT) 2022:
Syllabus:
The syllabus for medical and dental entrance test will remain the same as shared by former governing body of PMC. The aspirants are advised to follow their provincial texts books as primary source of knowledge for clearing medical and dental colleges entry test.
Updated Test Date of MDCAT:
13th or 20th November are suitable dates for conducting entry tests throughout Pakistan, Dr Noshad Sheikh told a private news channel. Sunday comes on these both dates and we will be conducting test on any of the sunday, he added. A uniform test will be taken throughout the country.

New Pattern of entry test:
The test will not be taken online like last year but this year PMC will be taking test physically from all students to maintain fair play and equality throughout Pakistan, President PMC told media.
Eligibility Criteria for MBBS and BDS admission:
The eligibility criteria for MBBS and BDS admissions have been updated to 55% and 45% respectively. Also it was decided to reduce eligibility criteria for taking MDCAT is reduced to 60% in FSc. However, the FSc weightage required to sit in MDCAT was 65% the previous year.

Provinces to Conduct MDCAT:
A public university from every province will be conducting MDCAT in its respective domain as per new policy framed by Pakistan Medical Commission.
