A powerful blast killed 2 people and injured 20 in Balochistan’s Kohlu district on Friday. Levies sources said a powerful blast rocked Kohlu bazar. The bomb went off inside a sweet’s shop. Some injured are critical and rushed to district headquarters hospital Kohlu for medical treatment. An emergency was declared in the hospital to provide medical treatment to the injured by the blast. Doctors and paramedical staff were called to make sure of timely treatment for the injured by the blast.

Balochistan education minister reaches the hospital

Balochistan education minister, Mir Naseebullah Marri reached the hospital and directed the hospital administration to make sure better treatment of the injured.

Video footage of the blast shows thick smoke rising from the spot of the blast. A large number of the people gathered to shift the injured to the hospital. Police and frontier corps personnel reached the spot after the blast.

The nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained.

Home Minister condemns the blast

Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove strongly condemned the blast and directed the deputy commissioner Kohlu to submit a report in this regard. In a statement issued after the blast, Mr.  Langove said the perpetrators of the blast would be brought to book.
