Sustainable peace important for development: Corps Commander Balochistan

Corps Commander Balochistan Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor termed sustainable peace important for development and prosperity in the province. The Commander visited the Harnai district and met with the tribal elders. “Pak Army and the tribal people should continue the process of peace and development”, the Commander stated.

The Corps Commander Balochistan along with the Inspector General Frontier Corp (IGFC) Balochistan North, Major General Chaudhary Ameer Ajmal interacted with the tribal and political elders in Harnai on Saturday.

Lt. General Asif Ghafoor met with the tribal elders of Harnai and exchanged views about the security situation in the district. Political and tribal leaders, officers of the Harnai administration, and religious scholars were also present on the occasion.

A tribal elder of the Harnai district expressed his views

 

“Peace and stability are important for the development and prosperity of any area”, Corps Commander mentioned. “We have achieved success in this area to maintain peace”, he said. However, still, some work is remaining. Bilateral coordination is necessary to fight the war on terrorism in the area, the Commander said. The tribal elders gave suggestions to the Corps Commander to make an effective strategy to prevail in peace.
