At least three people were killed and four injured in a powerful blast in the Mastung district of Balochistan. Deputy Commissioner Mastung, Sultan Bugti said the bomb exploded in the Qabu area of the district. He said the vehicle of Mir Shah Nawaz Bangulzai was targeted in the attack. Levies sources mentioned that two vehicles were destroyed in the attack.

Levies sources said the blast targeted a vehicle, which was carrying a dead body of a man killed near a tube well. A tube well operator identified as Imran was killed in the Qabu area of Mastung the other day.

The injured were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment in Mastung. An emergency was declared in the hospital to provide medical treatment to the injured by the blast.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the attack. In a statement issued after the attack, Mr. Bizenjo directed the administration to submit a report in this regard. He said the perpetrators of the attack would be brought to justice.

Home Minister Balochistan, Ziaullah Langove condemned the attack and termed it a conspiracy against the peace of the province. The Home Minister directed the levies and police to make sure the arrest of the elements behind the attack.
