A levies officer Zaheer Ahmed was martyred in an operation against anti-social elements in Balochistan’s Mastung district on Monday morning. Levies sources said the administration conducted an operation in the Pir Kano area of Mastung district.

The operation was conducted at a house. The armed accused present in the house retaliated and Naib Risaldar levies Zaheer Ahmed Muhammad Shahi was martyred during an exchange of fire.

Two accused were injured and arrested by levies during the operation. The accused along with their weapons were shifted to levies station after their arrest. A huge contingent of levies reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.

Home Minister directs the formation of a special team to arrest the attackers

Home Minister Balochistan, Ziaullah Langove strongly condemned the attack and directed the police and levies to arrest the culprits behind the attack. In an official handout issued after the incident, Mr. Langove stated that the perpetrators of the attack would be brought to justice and they would not be spared.

Home Minister directed a formation of a special team to arrest the culprits behind Pishin and Mastung attacks.

CM Bizenjo condemns the attack

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo condemned the attack and directed the deputy commissioner to arrest the culprits behind the incident. In a statement, Mr. Bizenjo said the accused involved in the attack should be brought to justice. The CM said the government would not make any compromise over law and order situation and ensure peace at all costs.
