Quetta court awards 3 times death sentence to an accused in a murder case

Additional Session Judge Sariab One, Mr. Aurangzeb Gamman convicted the accused Manzoor Ahmed to three times death sentence and Muhammad Ibrahim to two times death sentence for brutally killing a young man in Quetta’s Kechi Baig area. The court also convicted Waqas Ahmed, a co-accused to life imprisonment in the murder case of Muhammad Bilal son of Abdul Haq.

This was a gang that was involved in snatching motorcycles from the youngsters and killing them by throwing them in the wells of Karezes, the prosecution revealed before the court. The group was found guilty of robbery, kidnapping, and snatching motorcycles and throwing the people into the well of Karezes from whom they snatched motorcycles.

District Public Prosecutor Mir Shahdad Marri prosecuted the cases on behalf of the government. According to the details, the accused Manzoor Ahmed and Muhammad Ibrahim killed a young man in the area of the Kechi Baig of Quetta on September 6, 2018. They snatched the motorcycle of the young man, dragged him, and threw him into the well of a Karez in the Mian Ghundi area, which led to his death.

Apart from this, the accused Manzoor Ahmed and Waqas Ahmed, on February 16, 2019,  in the area of Barueri police station snatched a motorcycle from Muhammad Bilal, son of Abdul Haq, and tortured him with ropes in Mian Ghundi. They threw Muhammad Bilal alive in the Kariz, which also caused the death of the young man.

On May 25, 2019, the accused Muhammad Ibrahim and Manzoor Ahmed took Hafiz Sajid Ali son of Muhammad Ramadan with them, stole his motorcycle, and threw him alive in a Karez in the Mian Ghandi area, which resulted in the death of Hafiz Sajid the young man.

The heirs of the three slain youths filed reports of the abduction and disappearance of the youths along with their motorcycles in the police stations. The Balochistan Police reported the disappearance of the youths and worked day and night in tracing the accused involved in the incidents. Finally, they were able to reach the accused.

The dead bodies of the abducted youths were recovered from the wells of the Karez. The 2 accused Manzoor Ahmed and Muhammad Ibrahim in the case of Kechi Baig were sentenced to death for being found guilty under Section 302. The accused were transferred to Jail after being sentenced by the court.
