Abdullah Lehri:

At least four people including two children were injured in a gas leakage blast in Balochistan’s Sorab district on Thursday. Levies sources said a husband, wife, and their two children were injured in the blast in the Killi Mirwani area of Sorab district.

All the injured suffered burn injuries as a result of the blast, which also caused the collapse of the mud-walled room. Levies and residents of the area reached the spot and shifted the injured to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Levies sources said all injured were later referred to the Bolan Medical Complex Hospital (BMCH) after providing them first aid for further medical treatment.

Gas leakage and unannounced load shedding have claimed scores of precious human lives in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has been observing scheduled and unscheduled load shedding in various parts of Balochistan as the winter sets in.

Prolonged and unannounced gas load shedding has compounded the problems of consumers across Balochistan since most of the province are under the grip of cold and dry weather for the last two weeks.
