CHAMAN: QUETTA: Two different traffic accidents claimed the lives of five youngsters including the acting deputy commissioner Loralai. Jamil Ahmed Baloch, the acting DC Loralai suffered serious wounds on the Benazir Flyover. Police sources said Mr. Baloch was trying to save a motorcyclist coming on one way when he hit the wall of the flyover.
The acting DC suffered serious wounds and succumbed to injuries on his way to civil hospital Quetta on Saturday morning. In another traffic accident, four young men were killed when their vehicle collided with a truck coming from the opposite side of the Kuchlak Bypass area of Quetta.
Pak Army Captain Hidayatullah also lost life in the accident
Four young men including a serving captain of the Pak Army Hidayatullah died on the spot inside the vehicle. Rescue workers and people in the area reached the spot and retrieved the dead bodies from the car, which was completely destroyed in the accident.
The dead bodies were shifted to the civil hospital Quetta. A large number of relatives and friends reached the spot and heartbreaking scenes were witnessed when the dead bodies were brought. The Pak Army captain and two other young men belonged to Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering city with Afghanistan.
Funeral prayer of victims offered in Chaman and Quetta
Their funeral prayer was offered in the absence of thousands of people in Chaman on Saturday. However, one young man Nauman Kasi, the fourth young man died in a traffic accident was laid to rest in Quetta.
Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of five young men. In a condolence statement issued on Saturday evening, Mr. Bizenjo expressed sympathies with the broken families.
Road accidents have claimed thousands of precious human lives during the last few years. Traffic accidents have become the order of the day and especially the Quetta-Karachi has been called the ‘killer highway.
