CHAMAN: Police registered a case against Shehbaz Gill, Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) leader in Balochistan’s Killa Abdullah district on Saturday. Police booked the former minister and PTI leader for using foul language against state institutions.
Maulavi Azizullah, a resident of the Killa Abdullah submitted an application at the police station demanding the registration of a case against the former minister and central leader of the former ruling party. “Gill launched a campaign against state institutions under a pre-planned conspiracy”, Maulana mentioned in his application.
Gill tried to provoke armed forces through his statements: Applicant Says
The applicant claimed in his application that Mr. Gill has tried to provoke the armed forces through such irresponsible and foul statements. Subsequently, the Killa Abdullah police station lodged a first information report against Shehbaz Gill.
Azam Swati also shifted to Balochistan
About a week ago, the senator was taken into custody for the second time after a raid at his farmhouse in Chak Shahzad, Islamabad, by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing for allegedly tweeting against senior military officials.
Registration of the case against Gill has come after the shifting of another PTI leader Azam Swati to Balochistan from Islamabad the other day. Cases were registered against Mr. Swati in Kuchlak, Zhob, Khuzdar, and Gwadar police stations by people belonging to various walks of life.
Swati suffering from different diseases: Counsel
Syed Iqbal Shah, the counsel for Azam Swati complained that his client was suffering from various diseases and that his location was not clear hitherto. He said police are bound to produce him before the court of law immediately since cases have been registered against him in various police stations of the province. Azam Swati had also delivered speeches against state institutions few days back in the federal capital.
