The Head of the largest family and a father of 54 children breathed his last in Balochistan’s Noshki on Wednesday. Haji Abdul Majeed Mengal breathed his last because of a cardiac attack in Noshki. Mengal had married six wives two of his wives died and four are alive.
Mengal was shifted to the district headquarters hospital Noshki for medical treatment. However, he died prior to reaching the hospital.
12 out of a total of 54 children of Haji Abdul Majeed Mengal had died due to malnutrition. Currently, 42 children are alive.
Among Abdul Majeed’s children, 22 are boys and 20 are girls.

Noshki is located 130 km West of Quetta, Pakistan’s Southwestern city. The largest family and its head Abdul Majeed Mengal came into the limelight when the national census 2017 kicked off. The census officials got astonished after seeing the number of Haji Abdul Majeed Mengal’s family members.
Earlier, it was Jan Muhammad who was the father of 36 children in Quetta.
